D110 Compact white Electric Dryer Reviews

1、Dryer itself is bigger then expected, works super super great. Anouther great thing it dosen’t have the annoying ringing bell sound when clothes are done which is great when you have babies sleeping in house. Bad news 2 things: 1. Delivery service is HORRIBLE!! they didn’t even bother to ring our bell and left this outside our house in the middle of Chicago, how it did not get stolen is amazing. 2.The clear part of the door is plastic and gives off a bad smell that I’m sure is toxic when you are doing laundry. Solve this problem by putting the dryer in a seperate room of the house such a bedroom where you can have the window in there open and the burnt plastic smell not smelling up and poisioning the rest of the house, and boom problem solved and perfect dryer!! Oh and for the life of me I don’t know what these people are talking about when they say it is hard to clean the lint trap, like every lint tray on earth you pull it out, you clean it you put it back in. Takes about 25seconds, easy done.

2、This dryer is a perfect match for the Avanti washer I have. It is a great fit for an apartment or anywhere that you don’t have a 220v hookup. I did tons of research on laundry options for my apartment and I knew it would be a headache trying to adapt a 220v appliance here. So I figured on trying this and so glad I did. This dryer has a lot more power than I would have ever thought. Yes it takes longer than a traditional dryer but that is the tradeoff for getting to stay home instead of staying at the laundromat for hours.

It has a small capacity but it seems to handle a load from the Avanti washer well. I’d say it takes about an hour for a load of mixed clothes to dry (kids clothes, tanks, shorts, socks, etc). A little maintenance is required to keep things running smooth, cleaning the lint trap etc., but basically this is very simple to own and use. I highly recommend.

3、So you’re fed up with the laundromat and you’re thinking about (or have decided to) embark on the exciting adventure of compact appliance research. Here’s a tip: if you are planning to get a portable washing machine, make sure there’s room in your budget for one of these too.

Before I had a portable washer and compact dryer of my own, the neighbor across the way was nice enough to let me use her washer and outdoor clothes line (ok, so I used it without asking while she was out of town and I was watching her cats… she never pays me, so I helped myself to the machine). :) I discovered that day why I would never hang my clothes out to dry again, ever. My clothes were stiff enough to stand on their own, and as an extra bonus: little brown stains at every point where the clothespins had touched light colored fabric. All this plus it took forever and I had to skip a second load because it started to rain.

There are probably other options like having a constant draping of damp clothes spread on contraptions taking up precious space in my tiny apartment — or maybe I could just wear damp clothes and hope they’d dry out by the time I get to work each day.

Call me lazy, a wimp, un-green, but none of this is gonna work for me. I need tumble drying. I also know that I need electric, vented drying because I happen to wear JEANS once in a while, and those ventless “evaporative” units aren’t going to finish the job in under 12 hours, if ever.

This thing cooks, at least as well as you’d hope. Sure it takes about twice as long as a conventional dryer and sure I wish it held more, but I also wish I lived in a bigger place. Until that time, this machine is my bestest friend. (BTW: You really must avoid the temptation to over load this machine or everything will come out very, very wrinkled… load it half full or less and everything comes out soft, fluffy & relatively wrinkle-free)

Another note: there exists some confusion over whether or not this dryer needs to be vented. It does. Airborne lint is flammable, deposits a frustrating layer of filth over everything in your house and doesn’t add much generally to the pleasantries of breathing. The moisture also makes your small apartment swampy. Thus far my inelegant solution has been to purchase a small length of dryer hose and the Lambro #240T 4″ Adjustable Window Plate. There must be a better solution out there somewhere.

Oh! AND: I feel that I should repeat what some other reviewer mentioned on one of these dryer pages: Get a washer like the Danby Twin that has a super high-speed spin dryer, or purchase a separate spin dryer; it makes all the difference in the world. Putting damp, slowly spun clothes in this dryer would probably not work well.

Samsung : WF448AAP 4.5 cu. ft. Steam Front Load Washer Reviews

Five reviews of the Samsung : WF448AAP 4.5 cu. ft. Steam Front Load Washer

1、Purchased this washer and matching electric dryer to replace brand new Whirlpool 9400 set we owned for less than 2 weeks. The Whirlpool washer vibrated so bad I spent hours getting it perfectly level to no avail. I even contacted Whirlpool who suggested that I re-inforce my laundry room floor with a seperate 3/4 inch thick sheet of plywood. My laundry room floor is on the 1st level, linolium covered 3/4 plywood set on 2×10 joists 16 inch centered. In other words, its quite solid. The washer had been setup professionally, shipping plugs removed, leveled. But when it went to high spin mode – watch out. It vibrated the entire 20×20 floor. The Whirlpool merchant agreed to take back the Whirlpool units and the wife and I purchased these Samsung units. The Samsung units were installed in the same laundry room without any modification to the floor. They work great. Extremely low vibration and noise. My house no longer shakes. The Samsung washer feet are different than the Whirlpool feet – the Samsung feet grip the floor like a gecko. Also, the Samsung washer incorporates “Vibration Reduction Technology” in all of its washers. This VRT combined with the grippy feet really work. The dryer works well also. Both units are very solidly built and aesthetically pleasing.

I was a bit nervous about selecting these machines to purchase after reading a few complaints (overall, there weren’t too many) about clothes not being cleaned, an occasional mechanics problem requiring resolution, noise, etc. and had decided the machines were either ‘love it’ or ‘hate it.’ I took the plunge anyhow and am so thrilled I did!

After owning the machines for a brief time, I can proclaim I’m definitely in the ‘LOVE IT!’ camp! Further, without wishing to offend anyone, I will even imply people who are in the ‘hate it!’ camp 1) perhaps have not read their instruction manuals thoroughly so they know how to properly use and care for their machines as well as understand their limitations, or 2) perhaps aren’t using the machines properly. There seem to be some service / part replacement complaints from people, but those seem centered around models with earlier manufacturing dates than the set I own.

I have never been able to get my whites this clean without bleach or OxiClean or some other whitening agent, so I was truly impressed with the Silvercare feature (especially after wondering if it might be just hype and marketing). Silvercare really works, and works well! I can confidently sanitize things without worrying about using a great deal of resources other than cold water to do so, and ditching the bleach is a wonderful thing – I really don’t think I’ll need to use it anymore!

The steam features have already helped remove dirt and stains my last washer could never remove, leaving me quite impressed, and the refresh cycle on the dryer is a real boon when there isn’t time to iron or quick-wash. I love being able to deep-steam more heavily soiled items like my son’s soccer gear and have them come out looking pristine!

These machines are every bit as quiet as advertised – I can barely hear the washer (properly leveled) operating, and this allows me to do laundry at my convenience even at nighttime without disturbing the rest of the household. The dryer is dramatically quieter than my last one as well, and the lack of overall laundry noise is fantastic!!

I love the beauty of the machines – the polished understated glamor of the platinum set is fantastic. I’m very pleased to have them seen instead of feeling like I have to hide my washer and dryer from visitors who might enter the laundry room.

Although definitely not inexpensive, these machines are well worth the price considering the load of amazing features they utilize and the increased capacity of the washer and dryer drums. I’m very much looking forward to saving on our utility costs because of them! I would heartily recommend these beauties to my friends and family, and encourage anyone out there still on the fence to buy them with confidence!! I love them, and am confident if you read the manuals and use them properly you will too!!! =)

3、Why do people feel that they should rate purchases only when they are not pleased with decision that they made to purchase the item? This provides an inaccurate rating of many items. So I always try to rate most of the larger ticket items purchased whether good or bad.

I recently retired my 17+ year Whirlpool Thin-Twin, which was a great purchase in the day and out lasted our expectations by years, purchasing new Samsung laundry units. We are very limited on space and these units when stacked fit perfectly in the space that we have available.

I have been using the new units for just over one week now and I have to say can’t be happier with their performance so far. I have washed multiple loads of various combination and have not been able to knock the washer out of balance yet. The VTR vibration technology reduction system is amazing. Both units are so quiet you hardly realize that they are running. Not to mention that the clothes come out so clean. The wash cycles take a bit longer then the older unit, however the clothes are nearly dry when they come up out of the washer cutting the dramatically cutting the drying time.

Do to the fact that I purchased last year’s model; I was able to get a screaming deal in the color I wanted on the units that I purchased. I would recommend this purchase for anyone on the market for new washer (wf448aap) and dryer (dv448aep) units.
